Marten Olsson

Marten OlssonMarten Olsson joined Georgia Southern University in the spring of 2013, overseeing the operations of the Golf Course at University Park. As a graduate of Pan American University, Marten was a member of their college team from 1982 – 1986, holding their scoring record for fifteen years at 9 under par for 54 holes. In 2004, Marten became the Head Professional and General Manager at Canongate at River Forest Golf Club in Forsyth, GA. He was chosen as the Golf Professional of the Year for the Central Chapter of Georgia PGA in 2009. Marten specializes in tournaments, events, club management, equipment advice and fitting, teaching, and growing the game for all ages.


Patrick Reinhardt

Patrick ReinhardtPatrick Reinhardt joined as the Golf Course Superintendent in 2011. Prior to coming to Georgia Southern University, Patrick was the Senior Assistant Golf Course Superintendent at the Standard Club in Johns Creek, Georgia. He graduated with a degree in Crop and Soil Science Turfgrass Management from Michigan State University. He is a Class A Superintendent through the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America and has been a member since 2001. He now serves on the Georgia Golf Course Superintendents Association Board of Directors.


John Kafader

John KafaderJohn Kafader joined Georgia Southern University in June 2015 as the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent and leads the golf course turf staff in its day-to-day operations. He graduated with a Turfgrass Management degree from the Professional Golf Turf Management School at Rutgers University. He was awarded the Paul DesChamps Scholarship Award from the New Jersey Turfgrass Association. He is an active member of both the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America and the Georgia Golf Course Superintendents Association.


James Kittinger

James KittingerJames Kittinger began as the Assistant Golf Professional at Georgia Southern University in the summer of 2014. He graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with degrees in Marketing and PGA Golf Management. He is a US Kids Golf Certified Coach and thus is an expert at teaching the game of golf to kids ages twelve and under using a proven curriculum of instruction and in-depth knowledge of club-fitting for younger players. He is experienced in Junior Golf Development, Teaching, and Club Fitting and is a certified clubfitter with KBS Golf Shafts, Titleist, Taylormade and True Temper Golf.


Michael Veverka

Michael VeverkaMichael Veverka joined Georgia Southern Golf Course in July 2015. Prior to this, Mike was the First Assistant Golf Professional at Lakeview Golf Club in Harrisonburg, VA. He graduated from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore with a degree in PGA Golf Management. He played all four years for the university’s golf team, captained for three years and was the team’s first player to be awarded All-American. He is a certified Eye Line Golf Putting Instructor, PING Golf Technical Representative, KBS Shaft Fitter and Mizuno Golf Iron Fitter.
