What is W.I.L.D?

W.I.L.D.  is designed to give Georgia Southern students an opportunity to learn leadership skills through intentional directed learning while participating in hiking, paddling, climbing, challenge courses and more! Students will experience growth through learning skills that allow them to thrive in adverse and uncertain situations while leading their peers. This trip is designed to directly support the purpose of CRI to “inspire self-discovery through sport, fitness, wellness, and adventure”. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of wilderness skills required to thrive while leading others in remote settings. Students can also expect to gain self-awareness regarding their default leadership style, roles, and skills associated with leading others in any future setting.

This program is designed to teach leadership skills in a wilderness setting. Students will apply these skills to challenges in a supportive learning environment with high expectations. Students will have the opportunity for a positive, transformational experience and leave inspired and empowered to lead others positively.

If you are interested in a W.I.L.D. experience please reserve your spot on this year’s trip as soon as possible!
