Southern Adventures in the RAC
Wilderness Introduction to Leadership Development
Wilderness Introduction to Leadership Development (W.I.L.D) is the perfect way to start off your career as a student at Georgia Southern University! W.I.L.D. is a program designed for incoming Georgia Southern University freshman to develop themselves through the learning of outdoor skills, leadership theory, and environmental ethics. Participants will have the opportunity to meet other incoming students while developing valuable leadership and teamwork skills. The trip will include kayaking, whitewater rafting, hiking and camping. W.I.L.D. is a unique way to build friendships with other incoming freshman and prepare to make your mark at Georgia Southern University.
Throughout the week Southern Adventures’ trip leaders will teach students hard skills through experiential education. The learning will promote leadership development which will become applicable throughout their college career. The mediums used to convey these skills will be the challenge course, located on the campus of Georgia Southern University, and various outdoor destinations including Lake Jocassee, Table Rock State Park, and the Chattooga River.
If you are interested in a W.I.L.D. experience please reserve your spot on this year’s trip as soon as possible!
