Equipment Rentals & Storage
Firearms Rental
The SSEC has a variety of rental firearms available. All firearms must use ammunition purchased at the SSEC. Patrons under the age of 21 must utilize all ammunition or return it to the SSEC.
Pistols are available for $5 and rifles for $10 during the range visit. Rentals may be traded during the visit. Please note that ammunition would have to be purchased if trading calibers. If you are not familiar with a particular firearm that you would like to rent, please request assistance from the Range Safety Officer (RSO) before utilizing the firearm.

Archery Equipment Rental
Archery equipment (bows and arrows) are available for use in the Archery Center. A $5.00 archery equipment rental flat fee will be charged for access to the archery equipment in the Archery Center. Individuals may change out equipment as they desire. If you are not familiar with any piece of equipment that you would like to use, please request a basic orientation from the Range Safety Officer (RSO) before utilizing the equipment.
The following archery equipment is available for use with the equipment rental flat fee:
- Recurve Bow
- Compound Bow
- Arrows
Semester/Annual passes
The SSEC now offers a semester pass for Georgia Southern students or an annual pass for the public for our archery and firearm rentals. This pass allows the holder to have unlimited bow and arrow, pistol, or rifle rentals for the length of your pass. There is also a combination archery and firearm pass available.
The firearms pass does not include any ammunition. Patrons under the age of 21 must utilize all the ammunition or return it to the SSEC.

Storage
Members of the SSEC may now store their firearms and bows. The fee is $25 for the semester for a combination of 5 firearms or bows. Each firearm or bow must be locked and the key will be kept by the user. Ammunition containers will also be stored but limited to 2 per user. Firearms will be stored without the case and bows will be stored in a case. The user must check-in or out their equipment each time. Please read the policies for further information.
