Our Bowhunting Day Camp gives students the knowledge and skills to become active participants in the outdoors and conservation through bowhunting. The curriculum promotes physical fitness, confidence and social well-being thanks to hands-on experiences and outdoor interaction, as well as helps build student’s appreciation for wildlife and the outdoors.
Students will learn to identify white-tailed deer tracks, mimic a wild turkey call, tree stand safety, how to shoot and then have the opportunity to shoot 3D archery in an outdoor setting.
This camp is more than a tool to teach bowhunting, it is designed to teach students how to feel comfortable in the outdoors whether the goal is to bowhunt, photograph wildlife or interact with nature for any purpose.
This camp will also include an opportunity to swim in the pool or climb on the climbing wall at the Recreation Activity Center (RAC). A snack will be provided each session.
This camp can be combined with the afternoon firearms portion of the Sportsman Day Camp for an all-day experience.
