Show off your True Blue spirit on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 7:30 a.m. for the True Blue 5K race.

The True Blue 5k will take place the morning of the homecoming football game against University of Idaho. This race through campus is a great way to begin a day of tailgating and cheering on the Eagles.

Whether you are a seasoned runner, new to the sport, or just looking for a leisurely walk with your dog, then this race is for you!

President Keel will kick-off the race with the help of the Georgia Southern cheerleaders and drumline. GUS will also be there to keep participants pumped and energized!

“People love to dress up! Whether it is Georgia Southern gear or superhero costumes, we encourage you to wear what you want,” said Emmy Richards, Group Fitness Program Director.

At the finish line there will be Barberitos catered food and awards are given to the top finishers in each age group.

Regular registration for students is $20 until the day before the race, a t-shirt is guaranteed if registered before Sept. 30. Day of race registration is $25. Faculty, staff, and alumni regular registration is $25 and day of race registration is $30. Regular and day of race registration for the community is $30.

Students can register online at or at Member Services in the RAC.

For organizations to earn Spirit Points, students must register prior to Oct. 3.
