CRI Job Fairs Opens
Are you interested in joining the CRI family? The Fall Job Fair opens on Monday, February 11th. Student applicants must apply through the Student Employment Center.

Women & Weights

Body Conditioning Room
Join us each week as we discuss the benefits of resistance training and equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to reach your goals and exceed your own expectations! Find your place at Women & Weights!
Each session is led by two nationally certified Personal Trainers that will provide exercise instruction and motivation. Any Georgia Southern female student or Faculty/Staff that is a member of the RAC is eligible to participate. No registration is required however each class is limited to the first 20 participants. All participants must wear proper fitness attire to participate.

Tuesday, February 19

Backcountry Cooking Clinic
7pm
Southern Adventures Center
In this clinic you will learn how to prepare hot meals in a backcountry setting. You will be taught how to properly use an MSR whisperlite stove and prepare delicious food with simple ingredients. Additionally you will learn how to properly ration and maintain a balance diet on your next outdoor adventure.

Thursday, February 21

Advanced Climbing Clinic
7 – 10pm
RAC Climbing Wall
The Advanced Climbing Clinic is designed to build upon the skills developed in the Basic Climbing Clinic. Participants must have taken a Basic Climbing Clinic at least 30 days prior to registering for the Advanced Clinic, as well as demonstrated intentional development of top rope climbing skill. All participants will be required to demonstrate the ability to climb 5.8 on top rope without falling in order to complete the clinic. Clinic topics will review advanced climbing technique, physical training for climbing, and lead belay technique.

Fresh Air Fitness Begins

RAC Pavillion
Fresh Air Fitness is an outdoor class that incorporates kettlebells, tires, medicine balls, and more, in a fun and exciting workout suitable for all fitness level! Don’t miss this unique opportunity to vary your workout while enjoying some fresh air! This class meets at the RAC Pavilion meadow next to the monkey bars. Any Georgia Southern student or Faculty/Staff that is a member of the RAC is eligible to participate. No registration is required. All participants must wear proper fitness attire to participate.

Saturday, February 23

Concealed Carry Course
8:30am – 5:30pm
Shooting Sports Education Center
The USCCA Concealed Carry Course is a comprehensive course for anyone considering carrying a firearm for self-defense. This 8-hour course includes both classroom and range components, using a laser-training gun to develop point-shooting skills in the classroom and culminates with live fire on the range. Equipment and ammunition are included.
This course covers the following topics: develop your own personal protection plan; understand conflict avoidance; situational awareness; understanding of the physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath); and a guide to gear and gadgets.
Public/Faculty/Staff – $125; Students – $100

CPR Certification

SRC Conference Room
Learn valuable life saving skills! This class will teach you how to perform ventilations, chest compressions, how to provide aid to someone choking, learn how to care for someone who is having a seizure, how to control external bleeding, how to aid victims of bone injuries and more.
