Monday, February 25

Bowling Pin Shoot
6:30 – 8:30pm
Shooting Sports Education Center
This is a handgun match that is a great way for those new to shooting competition to get started and for those with a lot of experience to show off in a tough competition. Why has shooting bowling pins taken off to the extent it has? Because it’s fun! Bowling pins are a dynamic target, if you hit them off center they tend to fall down instead of going off the table. Once they’re lying down they’ll usually spin when hit on the ends instead of going off the table. These factors make the simple statement of “clear the table of 5 pins” more challenging than it sounds.

Women & Weights

Body Conditioning Room
Join us each week as we discuss the benefits of resistance training and equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to reach your goals and exceed your own expectations! Find your place at Women & Weights!
Each session is led by two nationally certified Personal Trainers that will provide exercise instruction and motivation. Any Georgia Southern female student or Faculty/Staff that is a member of the RAC is eligible to participate. No registration is required however each class is limited to the first 20 participants. All participants must wear proper fitness attire to participate.

Fresh Air Fitness

Fresh Air Fitness is an outdoor class that incorporates kettlebells, tires, medicine balls, and more, in a fun and exciting workout suitable for all fitness level! Don’t miss this unique opportunity to vary your workout while enjoying some fresh air! This class meets at the RAC Pavilion meadow next to the monkey bars. Any Georgia Southern student or Faculty/Staff that is a member of the RAC is eligible to participate. No registration is required. All participants must wear proper fitness attire to participate.

Worry Free Wednesday
11am – 2pm
Henderson Library
Worry-Free Wednesdays are a chance for students to participate in activities that are known to reduce stress and anxiety. Come see the Wellness Ambassadors the last Wednesday of every month at the Henderson Library. Activities may include: coloring, making stress balls, therapy dogs and more!

Advanced Sea Kayaking Clinic
7 – 10pm
Aquatics Center
This clinic will build on the information and skills introduced in the Basic Kayaking clinic. Paddling skills will be practiced and refined; Nautical travel and environmental conditions will discussed more in depth; Kayak rolling will be introduced and practiced. A basic kayaking clinic must be attended prior to registering for the advanced clinic.

Saturday, March 2

First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
9am
Aquatics Center
You can save a life! This class will teach you how to perform ventilations, chest compressions, how to provide aid to someone choking, learn how to care for someone who is having a seizure, how to control external bleeding, how to aid victims of bone injuries and more. With successful completion of this class, you will obtain an American Red Cross First Aid and CPR Adult, Child and Infant with AED certification valid for 2 years.

Gather your friends, grab some FREE glow sticks and meet us in the Group X Studio in the Student Recreation Center for a workout unlike any other! A student favorite, Zumba Glow, combines the fun of the classic Zumba dance routines with blacklight special effects.
