Campus Cycle

The Campus Cycle program is a green bike initiative, designed to provide students with an inexpensive, reliable and environmentally friendly method of transportation around campus.

The majority of the Campus Cycle bikes are recycled bikes which have been abandoned on campus. These abandoned bikes are then turned over to Southern Adventures. Our bike technicians take the bike apart, sand them, paint them, put back together, replace components, and tune them up so they are ready to go for the student body.

**Faculty / Staff Campus Cycle Policy**
The Southern Adventures Campus Cycle Program is limited to fee-paying students on the Statesboro Campus. This policy precludes all faculty and staff from the personal rentals of Southern Adventures Campus Cycles, maintenance, resources, and services.

How to get a Campus Cycle Bike

Each Campus Cycle Bike is rented on a semester basis at the prices above. However, there is a fee assessed if bikes are excessively damaged, stolen, vandalized, or lost.

The fee includes:

  • A bike
  • A U-Lock
  • Regular maintenance including any parts or labor associated with normal wear-and-tear of the bikes (i.e. flat tires, etc.)

Because of the demand, we host a Campus Cycle Release event at the beginning of each semester. Campus Cycle Release will take place from 8-10pm in the MAC Gym at the RAC on Wednesday, August 10th. We recommend getting there early to get in line because demand is high and we can’t guarantee a bike. If we run out of bikes we will add you to a waitlist as we continue to get more campus cycles added to our fleet.

After this date, if we still have campus cycles available, you can stop by Southern Adventures any time we are open to rent out a bike for the semester or be added to the waitlist.

Are you currently a Campus Cycle Renter?

If you have any problems with your bicycle please call us at 912-478-7227, or bring your bike in to Southern Adventures for repair. If your bicycle has an issue and you cannot make it to the RAC, we will come to you. Just call and leave a message with your name, bike number, and location your bike is locked up and we will send a Bicycle Technician to come fix your bike.
