Gear Rental Reservation Policies

Payment in full is required for all reservations at the time of the reservation. Reservations must be made in person and cannot be made over the phone or via email. Currently Southern Adventures accepts cash, check and Eagle Express payments only. Gear can only be picked up during Southern Adventures office hours unless prior arrangements are made .


Cancellations & Refunds

A full refund will be awarded if a reservation is cancelled at least one week prior to the pick up date. No refund will be awarded for cancellations within one week of the rental’s pick up date.


Returns

Rental items may only be returned during Southern Adventures office hours unless prior arrangements are made. All customers must remain present while Southern Adventures employees inspect the returned rental items


Late Fees

A late fee of 1.5 times the rental fee will be charged for each item for each possible return day in excess of the scheduled return date. Late fees will accumulate for up to one month. At this time, all late fees will be assessed as well as a replacement fee.


Lost, Damaged, or Stolen Gear Fees

All rental items must be returned clean and dry. A $15 service charge may be assessed for any items returned wet or dirty. Renters will pay any repair or replacement costs for gear that is damaged, destroyed, lost, or stolen. Failure to pay late fees, damage fees, service charges, or replacement costs will result in encumbrance through Georgia Southern University.


Group Rentals

Group rentals are available for Georgia Southern Student organizations. Fill out the form provided here. Your request will then need to be approved by the Rental Center Manager. Precedence for gear is given to Southern Adventures trips over any other rentals. All Southern Adventures policies and fees are applicable.
