Explore Bowhunting gives students the knowledge and skills to become active participants in the outdoors and conservation through bowhunting. The curriculum promotes physical fitness, confidence and social well-being thanks to hands-on experiences and outdoor interaction. The curriculum helps build student’s appreciation for wildlife and the outdoors. This is what students will learn:
- How to shoot
- Identify a white-tailed deer’s track
- Mimic a wild turkey’s call
- Learn tree stand safety
Students will have the opportunity to shoot 3D archery in an outdoor setting.
Explore Bowhunting is more than a tool to teach bowhunting, it is designed to teach students how to feel comfortable in the outdoors whether the goal is to bowhunt, photograph wildlife, or interact with nature for any purpose.
This day camp will include an opportunity to swim or climb on the climbing wall at the Recreation Activity Center. A snack will be provided each session.
