The Sportsman Day Camp is designed for all archers and firearm enthusiasts to learn the basics of form, shooting and the rules the shooting range. This camp is specific to the outdoor enthusiast who wants to learn and hone their skills.
FULL – The morning archery sessions will focus on bowhunting and archers will have the opportunity to try compound and recurve bows. All equipment is provided, or participants may bring their own bow.
The afternoon firearms session will focus on shotgun, air rifle, bolt action firearms and the ArmaLite Rifle Platform instruction. All equipment and ammo will be provided.
Both sessions focus on safety and fun! The student to instructor ratio for the live firearms range time is 2:1.
The Sportsman Day Camp offers multiple camp options for your youth. Choose from the morning archery session 8:30am – 12pm (Archery) and/or 1:00-4:30pm (Firearms). This camp also includes fun opportunities to swim in the pool or scale the climbing wall at the Recreation Activity Center (RAC).
Those registered for both programs should bring a sack lunch to enjoy. A snack will be provided during each session.
