Joshua Martin

Joshua Martin

Trainer Biography:

I am an exuberant ACE-certified personal trainer who makes hard work feel like a good time. My mission is to transform my clients into the best person they can be through exercise while further enlightening them on the science behind working out. I want to serve people as a source of clear and correct guidelines in a day and age with many blurred lines. I always provide my clients with up-to-date, preeminent exercise regimens. And at the end of our sessions, clients receive “the blueprint,” which they can take with them and use for the rest of their lives, so that they will never need to purchase sessions from a personal trainer again.

I got my certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and am prepared to work with any clients who are dedicated to bettering themselves through exercise! I enjoy seeing people better themselves and would love to point anyone trying in the right direction!

Trainer Biography:

I love fitness and have been working out consistently for 3 years now and have never loved it more. I first got into fitness playing high school football where we had to do weight training. At first, I never liked it very much but by the time I finished my senior year I loved it and started working out on my own. I started to learn a lot about fitness and gained interest in personal training and obtained my certification through the American Council on Exercise (ACE).

Client Testimonials

I have a love-hate relationship with my personal trainer! Seriously, she loves to torture me and I hate the pain (really not too bad)! I am a 62 year old retired GS employee and my goal is to stay healthy and active so that I can enjoy travel and my grandchildren for many more years. Since working with my trainer I have lost 25 pounds and many inches. She has helped me feel comfortable at the RAC among so many young people. I do choose to come during the morning hours or on Saturday or Sunday when the younger population is less evident. I do love feeling GOOD!

Susan – Current Client

From trainee to trainer, the RAC has helped me grow mentally and physically in so many ways. I would not be at the current point in my life if it was not for them and their awesome support and guidance. I now get to help others how the RAC has helped me, and I could not have made a better decision!

Exercise Behavioral Consulting

In collaboration with the Georgia Southern Sport and Exercise Psychology Graduate Program, Exercise Behavioral Consulting will now be offered as a supplementary service for RAC personal training clients. This program is being offered by advanced sport and exercise psychology students trained in behavior change, and is 100% free and confidential.

The aim of the EBC program is to help you get the most that you can out of your fitness experience. First time exercising? Have trouble sticking to your fitness plan? Recovering from an injury? Training for an event? The Exercise Behavioral Consultants can help. With theory and research-based behavioral strategies, our trained consultants will design an individualized plan to help you reach your fitness goals. You have the freedom to meet with your Exercise Behavioral Consultant as frequently as you would like, separate from your personal training sessions. Your Personal Trainer and your Exercise Behavioral Consultant will, with your consent, collaborate to ensure that you are receiving a comprehensive wellness service, working to strengthen both your mind and your body.

If you are interested in enrolling in this program, please collect an EBC information packet from the RAC Member Services Desk, or ask your Personal Trainer.

Feel free to contact the EBC program coordinator, Dr. Brandonn Harris, with any additional questions or concerns.
